The Woodland Project is the newest of the Wilder Romsey Initiatives. Its aim is to bring together residents from Romsey and the surrounding area who are interested in getting trees planted.
Our initial focus is on finding suitable areas of publicly accessible land - even the tiniest - that are suitable for tree planting, and to work with the landowner (often either Test Valley or Hampshire councils) to plant trees there, in line with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust's 'Waste of Space' initiative
If you're interested to follow our progress, follow our facebook page: we'll be keeping you updated on all of our plans and activities.
Since this project is really just starting up, we need people to help lead the charge: that means - work out what needs to be done and to help make that happen. If you think that's you - follow the facebook page, and consider joining the associated workgroup
